Nina Dobrev turned 25 on January 9 — and she deserves quite the celebration. She took home a Teen Choice Award in 2013, starred as three characters on The Vampire Diaries, and absolutely stunned again and again at every event.

Nina’s birthday celebration appeared to be pretty low-key — no huge club night for this gal — but still a ton of fun. Along with Ian, Nina’s closest friend Julianne Hough was in the house, as was The Vampire Diaries creator Kevin Williamson.

Stepping on stage to accept their award, Nina and Ian both joked about the mild awkwardness of winning Favorite On-Screen Chemistry, even mentioning how their on-screen romance has outlasted their off-screen one. Then in a shocking turn of events, Ian leaned in and planted a kiss on Nina’s cheek.


The 35-year-old actor and the 24-year-old actress won the award for Favorite On-Screen Chemistry for their work on The Vampire Diaries.
